I don’t know what to title this so now it sounds like a fallout boy song
Pairing: Leon Kennedy X reader (technically OC practise but there’s no details in this that would make it noticeable. That being said, in theory it’s a female reader but no pronouns are used)
Genre: Fluff
Warnings: brief mention of periods and the reader having a uterus, nothing more than talks of cramps.
Other notes: was testing out a new writing style so sorry if it sucks. Havent really been writing much since graduating my MA last year. It’s defiantly more observatory than I wanted it to be but honestly I canny be assed to fix it / im still working out shit for this pairing for a couple longer pieces im working on. Also written on my phone and I’m too lazy to go back and edit it. Sorry but I gotta be up for work at 4:30am 🥲
There wasn’t anything good on TV. Every single channel you tried was either ads or shitty Saturday night game shows. By the tenth switch you gave up, all but slamming the remote back onto the cushion beside you.
The shock waves broke Leon out of his dead-eyed trance, fingers piercing into your flesh in a death grip only to release his hold a couple seconds later.
His gaze was wide as he looked down at you still curled up ontop of his chest, head tucked under his chin. “Why the fuck did you do that for?
"There’s nothing good on.” Tears burned the back of your eyes for no real reason. Logically, everything was fine. But at the same time it felt like the TV stations of America had it out against you tonight and it felt personal.
Warm hands soothed over the indents left by his fingers. “Want to rent something.”
The burn intensified. “The Blockbuster down the road closed two weeks ago.”
“There’s other places.”
“It’s not the same, though.” Your voice wobbled. “And I don’t wanna get up. Your couch is comfy and my uterus really fucking hurts.”
“Well…” Leon moved his arms out wide as if to demonstrate the total lack of connection between your body and his sofa; your front precariously balancing on his chest, legs dangling off the edge in the gap between the two pieces of the sectional joining.
Apparently you were comfortable like this. He didn’t understand how but some things were better left unquestioned.
“You’re comfy.” You gave just as much snark back. A particularly hard cramp started creeping its way along your back and you reached for his hands to glue them back to their home under your shirt.
He applied enough pressure to keep the pain bearable.
The two of you feel back into a soft lull of the darkness with some mind-numbing reality show playing on his TV. Blinking lights of the busy street blow his apartment mixing with the sounds of tires on wet roads filled the background.
Leon shifted under you, a bone clicking in his back then his foot. “I can head out to grab something-”
Your eyes were pretty much closed by this point, all the energy suddenly zapped out your body but you still stood your ground. “Move and you’re dead, Kennedy.”
A smile pressed to the top of your head. One of his arms tightened around your back as the other pulled away.
Your head snapped up and he must’ve seen the fight in your eyes because he help it up in a signal of peace. “Just want to find something good go watch.”
You settled back down after a couple more seconds, chin on his chest while he surfed through the few remaining channels left unexplored. Eventually he landed on some cooking thing but by that time your eyes were closed and breathing slowed, nose smushed into the fabric of his shirt.
Leon knew his back was going to kill in the morning, but in the meantime he didn’t dare move out from under you, especially when you looked this cute and peaceful. And at least now he knew how to make a quiche.

Been averaging 3 job interviews a day for the last week and accidentally started two side businesses, so haven’t had time to work on the site.
